Kevin Roberts

An accomplished singer and songwriter born in Manchester. He lives now in Askam in Furness in Cumbria and is the lead singer of the "Mind Pilots" a local band.

They have an album "No Ordinary Planet" which has already received huge acclaim locally.

It goes without saying he adored his Staffordshire Bull Terrier "Jenny" and will never forget her.

Kevin in his spare time does voluntary work, dog walking and counselling at the NSBTR kennels in Cumbria.

Andrea Kitchen

Born in Lancaster, Andrea has played the violin since the age of seven and has been studying it and playing since, currently studying further with the instrument at Lancaster University.

She currently owns an old violin that was rescued from an attic some years ago and presented to her by a friend. It belonged to his mother who was a music teacher leaving instructions to her son that it was to be played by someone who loved the instrument. The violin has been restored and this is the amazing sound that you hear on Jenny's Song, the haunting score eventually transcending Kevins guitar work in the solo phrase.

Andrea is also the current Honorary Treasurer of the Northern SBT Rescue and works extensively but voluntarily with the abandoned and destitute members of the breed.

A great night but just part of a fabulous weekend that raised over £12,000 for Northern SBT Rescue.
